Andromeda Botanic Gardens
Andromeda is the oldest botanic garden in Barbados, left to the Barbados National Trust by Iris Bannochie, who created the garden from the 1950s. Over 500 species of plant help to make Andromeda a wonderful garden and learning resource (TVET assessment centre and BAC accredited training provider) and it has attracted interns from France and pupils from
Grantley Adams Memorial School. It is an organic garden and is constantly being developed.
General gardening work including weeding, cutting back, pruning, propagating, digging, transplanting, limited design. Ensuring the signage of this world class garden is clear and correctly positioned. There could be opportunities to work with Anna-Lisa in the shop, meeting and greeting visitors and other customer service roles. We are in the process of creating an
Ethnobotanical Garden and their help will be needed in this area, in all aspects of the garden's creation.
