Barbados Association of Professional Social Workers ( BAPSW)

BAPSW is an organisation which is committed to the development of social work as a profession in Barbados. The organisation also engages in advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the social work
profession, social workers and their clients. As such, the Association stands on three pillars which guide its current existence. These pillars are Colleague Upliftment, Community Outreach and Advocacy and Capacity Building. The mission of the Association is “to be the voice of the Social Work Profession”. Its mandate is to provide support, development and growth of all members through education, social interaction, emotional enhancement and solidarity. By so doing, it serves as a change agent impacting on social policy and social work development in Barbados.
