The Salvation Army Mission has been in Barbados since 1898. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Description

Activities Required
The volunteers duties/functions will be as follows: 

Assist in our feeding centre which feeds approximately 200 person daily - Monday to Friday (Volunteers will have to have health certificate).
Assist with office duties where necessary and doing reports to the Welfare Department and The Salvation Army Caribbean headquarters.
Assist with the sorting of clothing
Assist in our Thrift Store
Assist at any of our three Preschools/Day Cares (but this requires the volunteer to have a Police Certificate of Character and health certificate)
During the Christmas season the volunteers will be involved in the registering of recipients of the food hampers and the packing of the food hampers and Christmas Children's Party
Registering of children for Back School vouchers and distribution of school supplies
