Description
Pennegan Academy of Learning (PAL) is a social enterprise which uses the pillar of innovation to provide educational solutions to learners who have been ill-served by our educational system. We awaken hope in the hearts of our learners by providing individualised, research-based interventions intended to address their specific needs.

This opportunity for volunteerism is intended to attract UWI students pursuing studies in literacy education, special education, early childhood education, education or psychology. Volunteers will be assigned a learner who experiences challenges with literacy, numeracy and/or handwriting. The individual will be trained in our specialised intervention programmes and will be required to provide in class educational support to learners within the general education setting.

These reports will be used by PAL and the school to track development. All educational materials will be provided for the duration of the placement.
