A member of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women A status of Women organisation focused on the Equality and Empowerment of Women in all spheres. The organisation operates many programmes including the Crisis Centre which houses: i) the 24/7 Crisis Hotline 435-8222- which provides counselling in the areas of Intimate Partner Violence, Rape, Sexual Assault, Relationship issues and Suicide; ii) the educational arm for social services, police and the judiciary, medical professionals, women organisations and associations such as the BFP; 3) the public outreach and educational arm. In addition the organisation operates the Safe Shelter for abused women and their children in which women can be housed on average for up to three (3) months and prepared for independence. The organisation also visits schools with specialised programmes; give presentations to corporate entities on business and social issues; provide self-development programmes for unemployed and underemployed women; provides lectures, seminars and workshops on subjects that educate and empower women in fields such as finance, health, entrepreneurship, HIV etc.
